Our story begins in 2016, with a longing to create a new brewing experience that would inspire creativity, while remaining genuine and familiar. From this desire to create something truly special, Whitelakes Brewing was born.

Inspired by the unique and stunning ‘white lakes’ of Lake Walyungup, our brewery had found its identity. From the technical finesse of the iconic land yacht racers to the quintessentially authentic atmosphere of the surrounding landscape, our beers are finely crafted and down-to-earth.

Curiosity Drives Craft

For us, brewing isn’t about trends or triumphs. It’s about the process of making. At Whitelakes, we enjoy creating beers that offer consistent quality and champion the importance of craftsmanship.

When you take that first sip of a Whitelakes beer, you know that it’s been made using the freshest ingredients possible, with the level of care and attention to detail that only a true maker can provide.

We welcome curious minds and adventure seekers to join us in celebrating the art of our craft.

When it comes to craftsmanship,
we don’t take chances.

Proudly headed by Sean Symons, whose experience has spanned over 20 years, starting out in the 90s as a fresh faced enthusiast, approaching Chuck Hahn several times to land a position on the Malt Shovel packaging line to one of Western Australia’s more prominent brewing figures.

Things have certainly evolved over the years, in a career that has seen Sean working around Australia for Swan, Tooheys, XXXX and even running a brewpub on Vietnam’s Nha Trang coast before taking charge of production at Whitelakes – where now, with a plethora of accolades, degrees and brewing qualifications under his belt, he actively gives back to the industry as chief judge for the Perth Royal Beer Awards amongst a bevy of competitions.

Under Seans direction, Whitelakes Brewery houses their iconic 25 hectolitre HGM brew kit, featuring a hexagonal brew deck designed so a single brewer can effortlessly navigate and manage multiple vessels from a single vantage.

This unique design has carved out a technical, stainless steel heart that has seen Whitelakes Brewing grow from being a quiet achiever to now one of Western Australia’s more prominent figures on the landscape.

Our beers pay homage to the styles of the ages with a modern, new world twist.
